CommunicAsia 2008: Samsung Omnia SGH-i900 Available This Week
Announced in Singapore this week, Singapore will be the first country to have the Samsung Omnia SGH-i900 available in the mobile store. According to Samsung, the new full touch screen Omnia phone will be available in Singapore this week, follow by Europe in end July and then China, Taiwan in August. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G is a contradictory device in many ways. The 0.37 inch (9.47 mm) wafer-thin thickness is smaller than the vast majority of other 4G handsets. However, the huge 4.65 inch Super AMOLED display is one of the largest. And the high resolution display, delivering a pixel density near the top of the entire 4G smartphone marketplace, dual core processor, and 1080P HD resolution video recorder are generally features which devour battery life. However, the 1850 mAh battery on board the Verizon Wireless Galaxy Nexus 4G handset does a decent job of powering the device for fair amounts of time. In the units we have tested, the Bionic with Juice Defender running, get plenty of power to last me a full day of work. Many heavy data users opt for the extended batter or a backup battery.
